Terms And Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions Apply to all satellite systems purchased from NJ Satellite.  By making an online or phone purchase from NJ Satellite you agree that you have read, understood and accepted ALL conditions in the agreement herein.

General Information

1. All Free/Discounted Satellite Systems, purchased by new subscribers are subject to credit approval and requires submission of a valid social security number.

2. NJ Satellite reserves the right to cancel any and all orders for new subscribers if the credit approval is declined.  Any monies put forth by the customer will be refunded 100% if such approval is declined.

3. Unless otherwise explicitly provided in this agreement, NJ Satellite shall not be liable to the subscriber or to any third party for:

1. incidental, punitive or consequential losses or damages, including loss of profits, earnings, opportunity costs and personal injuries, including death resulting directly or indirectly out of use of NJ Satellite equipment or services.

4. NJ Satellite is not responsible for any typographical errors that may appear anywhere on this website.

5. All rates programming and prices are subject to change at any time.

 New Subscribers and Activation

1. By purchasing free or discounted satellite equipment (from the new subscribers or specials or promotions pages) you agree that you are a NEW (first time) DirecTV or Dish Network subscriber.  By making this claim you represent and warrant hereby that neither you nor anyone living in your household has ever subscribed to DirecTV or Dish Network television/DSL service in the past.  Limit of offers is 1 per household.

2. You understand that all receivers purchased from NJ Satellite shall be installed and activated as the primary receiver(s)/access card(s)  on your satellite providers account.  If the installation is completed by a company other than NJ Satellite all receivers shall be activated within 30 days of purchase.

3. You must reside in a residential, non-commercial dwelling within the continental United States an must be at least 18 years of age.

4. You must maintain the minimum required subscription level for the time period noted below for the purchased packages.  You are in default of this stipulation if your programming is not maintained for any means, including but not limited to; disconnection/suspension for non-payment for monthly programming, disconnection/suspension for fraud, disconnection/suspension due to the subscribers request.

• NEW DirecTV subscribers require a 1 year subscription commitment of any Total Choice or Opcion Extra Special package (currently valued at $33.99 a month).  Subscribers may choose to modify programming packages, but under no circumstances shall programming fall below Total Choice or Opcion Extra Special at any time.

• NEW Dish Network subscribers purchasing discounted satellite equipment (Except Dish Network Offers 3 & 4) require a 1 year subscription commitment of at least America's Top50 or Dish Latino Max (currently valued at $24.99 a month).  Subscribers may choose to modify programming packages, but under no circumstances shall programming fall below America's Top50 or Dish Latino Max at any time.

• NEW Dish Network subscribers purchasing Free Options 3 & 4 require a 2 year subscription commitment of at least America's Top50 or Dish Latino Max (currently valued at $24.99 a month).  Subscribers may choose to modify programming packages, but under no circumstances shall programming fall below America's Top50 or Dish Latino Max at any time.

5. You pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card accordingly for non compliance of any term above.  Please see charges for non-compliance below for details.

 Current Subscribers and Activation

If purchasing satellite receivers as a current subscriber:

1. You must reside in a residential, non-commercial dwelling within the continental United States and must be at least 18 years of age. 

2. All receivers purchased from NJ Satellite shall be activated on your satellite providers account within 30 days of purchase.

3. You pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card accordingly for non compliance of any term above.  Please see charges for non-compliance below for details.

Charges associated with non-compliance of this agreement 

1. If you are in non-compliance of any parts of this agreement and purchasing discounted/promotional satellite equipment as a new subscriber, you pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card:

• $250 for each free/discounted single receiver purchased. (Note: Your satellite provider may also charge a pro-rated early termination fee) 

2. If you are in non-compliance of any parts of this agreement and purchasing satellite equipment as an existing subscriber, you pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card:

• $50 for each free/discounted single receiver purchased.

3. Should you fail to pay NJ Satellite for any of the applicable fees contained in this agreement, you hereby expressly authorize NJ Satellite to report any outstanding balances due plus all legal fees to credit agencies as delinquent.

 Returns/Order Cancellation

1. All sales are final after installation and/or activation of the receivers.  Under no circumstances do we accept returns for any satellite receivers/dishes after activation of the hardware.

2. You may cancel your order/installation before shipping or 48 prior to the scheduled installation.  You will receive a full refund for any order canceled minus a $19.99 processing fee.

3. If the installer is unable to install the satellite system upon arrival, for any reason not under the installer's control, you pre-authorize NJ Satellite to make a one time charge of $50 to cover a site survey fee.  

4. You acknowledge that your satellite equipment hardware (receivers, dish) carries a manufacture's warranty and you should contact DirecTV or Dish Network directly for repair or replacement of this equipment.

*Installation Performance Guarantee

We guarantee all of our installers to arrive at the installation site within 1 hour of the quoted installation time NJ Satellite has on record.  This is the official quote and will be issued to you via email. 

1. If we are found to be in non-compliance of these terms we shall pay you $15.00 per hour (Pro-Rated per quarter hour) of lateness after the initial hour.  Total compensation shall not exceed $50.00 total.  

2. NJ Satellite reserves the right to reschedule installations at any time due to unfavorable weather or other natural/unnatural phenomenon and does not constitute non-compliance of these terms.

3. No payment for non-compliance shall be sent to the consumer unless the appropriate performance guarantee paperwork has been completed and signed and submitted by you (paperwork can be obtained from the installer).  All claims must be submitted within 30 days of the installation date located at the top of the form. 

4. All payments take about 4 weeks to process and will be sent to the person/address located on the completed performance guarantee form.

We guarantee all of our installations to be free from defects for 6 months from the time of  installation or we will replace/service installation materials for free.  For more information please  check out our warranty information page.

*Our Installation Performance Guarantee Applies to full installs only (service calls, site surveys, partial installations  and other non installation services are excluded).

Referral Rewards Compensation

 Compensation shall be paid to existing NJ Satellite customers for New Satellite Subscriber referrals.  The referred party must submit your name and address in the referred by section when ordering online to qualify for monetary compensation.

1. The referral must be a New Subscriber and agree to all of the terms and conditions of a New Subscriber.

2. Compensation will only be paid after all satellite receivers purchased by the referred party are activated.

3. NJ Satellite reserves the right to refuse payment of referral reward compensation for any reason NJ Satellite deems fit.

4. Compensation of $30 shall be paid for single receiver activations and $50 for multiple receiver activations.
