Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions Apply to all satellite systems purchased from NJ Satellite.  By making an online or phone purchase from NJ Satellite you agree that you have read, understood and accepted ALL conditions in the agreement herein.

General Information

  1. All Free/Discounted Satellite Systems, purchased by new subscribers are subject to credit approval and requires submission of a valid social security number.

  2. NJ Satellite reserves the right to cancel any and all orders for new subscribers if the credit approval is declined.  Any monies put forth by the customer will be refunded 100% if such approval is declined.

  3. Unless otherwise explicitly provided in this agreement, NJ Satellite shall not be liable to the subscriber or to any third party for:

  1. incidental, punitive or consequential losses or damages, including loss of profits, earnings, opportunity costs and personal injuries, including death resulting directly or indirectly out of use of NJ Satellite equipment or services.

  1. NJ Satellite is not responsible for any typographical errors that may appear anywhere on this website.

  2. All rates programming and prices are subject to change at any time.

  3. NJ Satellite requires all customers to sign at least a 12 month commitment to qualified programming for all multi-room systems.  New subscriber systems are for residents of New Jersey only and all installations are to be completed by NJ Satellite per the terms given.

  4. DirecTV and Dish Network charge an additional monthly fee for each additional receiver on the account.

New Subscribers and Activation

  1. By purchasing free or discounted satellite equipment (from the new subscribers or specials or promotions pages) you agree that you are a NEW (first time) DirecTV or Dish Network subscriber.  By making this claim you represent and warrant hereby that neither you nor anyone living in your household has ever subscribed to DirecTV or Dish Network television/DSL service in the past.  Limit of offers is 1 per household.

  1. You understand that all receivers purchased from NJ Satellite at a discount for new subscribers shall be installed and activated as the primary receiver(s)/access card(s)  on your satellite providers account.  All installations must be completed by NJ Satellite.

  1. You must reside in a residential, non-commercial dwelling within New Jersey and must be at least 18 years of age.

  1. You must maintain the minimum required subscription level for the time period noted below for the purchased packages.  You are in default of this stipulation if your programming is not maintained for any means, including but not limited to; disconnection/suspension for non-payment for monthly programming, disconnection/suspension for fraud, disconnection/suspension due to the subscribers request. 

  • NEW DirecTV subscribers require a 1 year subscription commitment to a qualifying programming package.  Subscribers may choose to modify programming packages, but under no circumstances shall programming fall below the minimum requirement at any time.

  • NEW Dish Network subscribers require a 1 year subscription commitment to a qualifying programming package.  Subscribers may choose to modify programming packages, but under no circumstances shall programming fall below the minimum requirement at any time.

  1. You pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card accordingly for non compliance of any term above.  Please see charges for non-compliance below for details.

Current Subscribers and Activation

If purchasing satellite receivers as a current subscriber:

  1. You must reside in a residential, non-commercial dwelling within the continental United States and must be at least 18 years of age. 

  2. All receivers purchased from NJ Satellite shall be activated on your satellite providers account within 30 days of purchase.

  1. You pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card accordingly for non compliance of any term above.  Please see charges for non-compliance below for details.

Charges associated with non-compliance of this agreement 

  1. If you are in non-compliance of any parts of this agreement and purchasing discounted/promotional satellite equipment as a new subscriber, you pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card:

  • $250 for each free/discounted single receiver purchased.

  1. If you are in non-compliance of any parts of this agreement and purchasing satellite equipment as an existing subscriber, you pre-authorize NJ Satellite to charge your credit card:

  • $50 for each free/discounted single receiver purchased.

  1. Should you fail to pay NJ Satellite for any of the applicable fees contained in this agreement, you hereby expressly authorize NJ Satellite to report any outstanding balances due plus all legal fees to credit agencies as delinquent.

Returns/Order Cancellation

  1. All sales are final after installation and/or activation of the receivers.  Under no circumstances do we accept returns for any satellite receivers/dishes after activation of the hardware.

  1. You may cancel your order/installation before shipping or 48 prior to the scheduled installation.  You will receive a full refund for any order canceled minus a $19.99 processing fee.

  1. If the installer is unable to install the satellite system upon arrival, for any reason not under the installer's control, you pre-authorize NJ Satellite to make a one time charge of $50 to cover a site survey fee.  

  1. You acknowledge that your satellite equipment hardware (receivers, dish) carries a manufacture's warranty and you should contact DirecTV or Dish Network directly for repair or replacement of this equipment.
